Hudson Family Papers, 1741-1914.

The Hudson Family Papers document the diverse business and personal activities of four generations of the Hudson family of Newburyport. The Papers of James Hudson contain legal and financial papers, and typescript drafts of his biography. Henry Hudson's papers contain business, personal, and church papers covering the period 1765 to 1818. The Papers of John Rogers Hudson consist of shipping, business, personal, and military papers. Charles Hodge Hudson's papers document his hardware stores, his involvement in telegraph companies, his activities as Probate Court register, and his inventions. The family and miscellaneous papers contain business and personal papers of relatives and non-relatives.
